I went for a 3 mile run yesterday in my Vibrams on a perimeter gravel road on the Navy Base where I work.
It was a good run, I took it easy and just cruised. I love running in my Vibrams! I will never go back to traditional running shoes!
I can't even imagine running in foot coffins again!
I am working my way back into running full swing and making it a big part of my life.
I also wanted to post a link to one of my favorite stores: The North Face. I love them, they have so many products I love. If you are an outdoor person you will love the stuff they have. Check them out via the banner below.

Have you tried any other types of shoes. I have started running barefoot in five fingers, have you tried water shoes or anything else? I am looking for some protection for my feet at a lower cost. Keep running.
ReplyDeleteHi Michael! I have just been thumbing through your blog, and am happy to see that a kindrid sprit has found the beauty and freedom of barefooting! I am on the same adventure you are! http://shamemas.blogspot.com/ :)
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!
thanks for your work
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I have just started running without cushioned shoes...I run in water shoes for a few minutes twice a week. I am also altering my gait and foot strike when running in shoes. Aside from tightness in the calves, I have been getting a pain on the top of my feet, right behind the toes. Have you heard about this or experienced this during your transition to barefoot running? It occurs after a run and gets worse overnight, then almost disappears a day or two later. But it surfaces when I run again.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to run with your favorite shoes because it makes you inspired and feel good...
ReplyDeleteGood luck to your runs, wish you luck and may the vibram five finger shoes will help you. Actually it will, because it helps me to be comfortable every time I run.
